Position Summary

Technical Manager

MISTRAS are looking for an NDT Technical Manager to support our ongoing NDT and ANDT operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, amend, maintain and approve NDT and ANDT technical procedures and documentation for the company.
  • Assist with the development of NDT technicians by coaching and mentoring.
  • Perform competency assessments.
  • Assist with the delivery of NDT/ANDT services onsite as required.
  • Maintain registrations and memberships with trade bodies and associations.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to Operations and Senior Leadership Team and take part in strategic planning initiatives.
  • Perform Technical Audits and Act as focal point for third party technical audits.
  • Support the Operations team and deal with any technical queries.
  • Assist operations team to maintain NDT/ANDT equipment and update MISTRAS Digital (MISTRAS equipment management system).
  • Act as company representative at industry meetings and conferences.
  • Collaborate with MISTRAS European and US ANDT teams.
  • Assist in tender and customer technical reviews and enquiries.
  • Identify new and emerging technologies, solutions, in order to broaden MISTRAS service provision.
  • Attend client sites as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • PCN L3 NDT certifications in at least 2 disciplines
  • PCN L2 in some disciplines
  • Minimum 5 to 10yrs Industry experience
  • Extensive knowledge of industry codes and standards.

    Other

  • Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience and certifications.
  • Hours of Work: 40hrs Monday to Friday
  • The role would be based at MISTRAS office in Pyle, South Wales.
