IL40D – Gain Differential In-Line Preamplifier
Our In-Line series of preamplifiers are small (approximately 1" x 1" x 2.2"), low-cost devices that are well-suited for applications where there is a known, specific preamplifier requirement. They have a fixed gain, fixed frequency bandwidth, and a specific sensor input connection (single or differential), which are specified at the time of purchase. The IL40D is a variant for differential sensors, and has a fixed gain of 40 dB. It is designed to operate with MISTRAS' standard single Power/Signal BNC, and has an active filter built in and optimized sensor selectivity and noise rejection.
Optional Automatic Sensor Test (AST) functionality provides the sensor with the ability to characterize its own condition as well as send out a simulated Acoustic Emission wave that other sensors can detect.
