Designed and manufactured by our sister division, MISTRAS Products & Systems, the LSI system is best utilized as a high speed erosion/corrosion scanning systems. Operating at scan speeds as high as 25 inches per second, the LSI system is designed to cover large surface areas in a short amount of time. Typical scanning applications include tank, heat exchanger and pressure vessel shells, un-insulated piping systems large marine vessels and towers.

Utilizing our state of the art UTIA software, scans are displayed in color coded A, B and C-Scan modes, and individual scans are "stitched" together in C-Scan mode to display the asset in its entirety. In addition to the color coded C-Scan display, all amplitude and thickness points can be numerically exported into an Excel spread sheet and color coded to easily identify thinning areas. The system is operated in multiple configurations with various bridge lengths for maximum versatility.
