MISTRAS Group's leadership incorporates a wealth of expertise and diverse industry experience to drive innovation and success.
Natalia Shuman joined MISTRAS Group in 2025 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Shuman brings over two decades of leadership experience to MISTRAS Group, having held executive roles at prominent global organizations in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. Prior to joining MISTRAS, Ms. Shuman served as Executive Vice President and Group Operating Council Member for Eurofins Scientific, where she led over 12,000 employees, driving growth strategies, operational excellence, and strategic value creation. Prior to Eurofins, she was CEO of Bureau Veritas in North America, where she spearheaded a period of significant growth and transformation, steered the company to a diversified, more resilient business model, and elevated brand recognition in North America.
Before joining Bureau Veritas, Ms. Shuman led international business operations at Kelly Services, a global staffing and human resources outsourcing company. She is also recognized as a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion, receiving accolades from several prominent organizations.
Ms. Shuman earned a dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
Edward J. Prajzner is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for MISTRAS Group. He joined MISTRAS in January 2018. Before joining MISTRAS Group, Mr. Prajzner was Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of CECO Environmental Corp, a publicly-traded global diversified and energy technology company. He began his career with Ernst & Young and also held senior financial positions with CDI Corporation and American Infrastructure. Mr. Prajzner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Villanova University, an M.B.A. (Finance) from Temple University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Hani Hammad is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for MISTRAS Group. He joined MISTRAS in 2024 after over four years spent at the global consultancy firm, AlixPartners, which included a year-long collaboration with MISTRAS to manage the Company’s Project Phoenix initiative. He was instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, designing the overall project approach, identifying value-capture opportunities, and managing the successful execution of initiatives that significantly bolstered efficiency across the Company. Prior to his accomplishments at AlixPartners, Mr. Hammad contributed his strategic insight to PwC’s Strategy&, focusing on operational strategy for Oil & Gas companies, and held key roles in manufacturing and supply chain management at Baker Hughes Company and General Electric Company, where he graduated from the Operations Management Leadership Program and obtained his Lean Six Sigma certification. His educational background includes a Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
Julie Marini is MISTRAS Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer. She has been with MISTRAS since 2012.
Julie has over 20 years of experience as a business and human resources professional, including serving as the Vice President of Human Resources for several other large, publicly-traded companies. She previously functioned as a key member of senior leadership teams focusing on growth-oriented and turnaround businesses. Julie is an active member of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the New Jersey HR Council. She has served as a Board Member of the National Association of Employee Concerns Professionals and a member of the Human Resources Advisory Board for Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Julie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts and an MBA from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Theresa Anderson brings over 20 years of marketing leadership experience spanning oil and gas, regulatory compliance, SaaS, and the testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) industry. Known for pairing strategic vision with creative execution, she has a proven record of driving measurable growth and brand impact.
She has led global and North American marketing for companies such as Bureau Veritas Group and Edgen Group (a Sumitomo Corporation subsidiary), where she built scalable demand generation programs, launched integrated brand strategies, and elevated visibility in highly regulated, technical markets.
Theresa’s digital marketing expertise spans the key industries MISTRAS serves—including energy, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, and infrastructure. Her customer-centric approach will play a pivotal role in strengthening the MISTRAS brand and accelerating growth across our markets.
She is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
Gennaro (Jerry) D’Alterio joined MISTRAS Group in 2023 as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. With over 20 years of proven executive leadership, Mr. D'Alterio excels at driving commercial transformations. An impactful leader with a consistent track record for fostering success-oriented cultures, he most recently served as the Vice President of Product Management and Director, Global Business Development at CECO Environmental's Fluid Handling & Filtration segment, where he also held the positions of President and Global President. In these roles, Mr. D'Alterio led initiatives that resulted in exponential revenue growth and significant margin improvements. He also launched multiple new products and assembled a global sales team that successfully expanded international revenue across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Beyond his expertise in sales, Mr. D’Alterio is certified in LEAN enterprise and manufacturing, bringing a unique perspective and set of benefits to MISTRAS' customers. Mr. D'Alterio holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University. He is also a member of the Hydraulic Institute and the International Desalination Association, and serves on the Board of the Aquatic Animal Life Support Operators organization.
Michael C. Keefe is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, positions he has held since he joined MISTRAS in 2009. Previously, Mr. Keefe served in various legal roles with AT&T and Lucent Technologies for 15 years, his last four years as Law Vice President, Corporate. Between his time at Lucent Technologies and MISTRAS, Mr. Keefe worked at International Fight League, a sports promotion company, as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and eventually its President, General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer and led the sale of the company's assets and the Chapter 11 liquidation of its operating subsidiary. Prior to joining AT&T, Mr. Keefe was in private law practice at New Jersey's largest law firm, McCarter & English, LLP. Mr. Keefe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from Seton Hall University and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law. Before starting his legal career, Mr. Keefe served as a Certified Public Accountant for Coopers & Lybrand, a predecessor firm to PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. He worked in the accounting profession for seven years before commencing his legal career.
