Role overview

This is an exciting full time, permanent position which will provide an opportunity to train and progress with a forward thinking Company. The post holder will have the opportunity to travel across both the UK and internationally to work on a variety of client’s sites.

MISTRAS Group design, manufacture and install Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems for critical infrastructures globally. The SHM Systems are designed to monitor the integrity of various structures, such as bridges, wind turbines, oil rigs and other Oil and Gas structures to identify damage mechanisms and behaviours in order to look out for early warning of potential damage caused by the environments they operate in.
Our Field  Technicians are required to assist in the development, installation and servicing of the SHM systems and will be required to travel around the UK and overseas, with the opportunity to work on spectacular, iconic, and stimulating structures.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Work as part of a team to conduct site installation, testing, and commissioning of new SHM systems.
  • Attend to any reactive/corrective maintenance of control, instrumentation, and other associated equipment.
  • Complete any repairs/replacements/calibration to instruments and equipment as required.
  • Conducting fault finding, recording findings as required.
  • Conducting NDT field based inspections.
  • Take an active part in MISTRAS safety observations and good catch reporting programmes.
  • Comply with all appropriate QHSE policies and procedures and keep quality documentation up to date as required by the project.
Minimum Requirements

Ideally, a basic understanding of fundamentals of electrical based monitoring systems, data loggers, routers and network switches
