Our Ferndale branch specializes in destructive testing (DT) and mechanical testing for weld quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of metals. Our tensile, charpy, hardness (including Vickers, Rockwell, and Brinell), and bending tests help to evaluate the strength and material properties of your metals.

As experts in weld procedure development, we assist our clients in implementing, expanding, or upgrading welding program and procedures. We’ll walk you through the tests your assets need, perform them, and help you design your qualification tests to best match your current and future needs. Welding is an important aspect of the branch’s operations, with welder testing and welding program development. Welders gain the skills they need here to successfully weld metals for all types of purposes and needs.

Our lab is also equipped for material identification and chemical analysis, including positive material identification (PMI). We conduct these tests according to a wide range of customer and industry codes. We work quickly (with flexible schedules and swift turnaround times), and expertly, with on-site Certified Welding Inspectors/the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWIs/CWB) personnel.

We’re equipped for field services in combination with MISTRAS’ Bellingham, WA—USA office. Our teams offer a wide range of non-destructive examination (NDE) inspections, rope access services, in-situ metallography, and more to help ensure asset integrity in any capacity.
