CONAM HONORED WITH SILVER AWARD IN SAFETY

Princeton Junction, NJ - May 2006 - MISTRAS Group Inc. is proud to announce that CONAM Inspection & Enginnering Services Inc. has been honored with a Silver Level Safety Excellence Award by the Houston Business Roundtable (HBR) at the 19th Annual Safety Excellence Awards Banquet held on Friday May 19, 2006.

Over the last nineteen years, the HBR has recognized many Houston area industrial contractors for their outstanding safety performance. Starting with the mandatory nomination, the HBR uses a comprehensive formal process to determine the award winners. The six month process involves hundreds of volunteers and participants. Participating companies are nominated by an owner/user (companiers may not nominate themselves), and evaluated by the group of volunteers. The process brings many owner/user companies in the Gulf Coast together with their contractors in a cooperative effort to improve on-site safety, eliminate accidents and reduce injuries to employees.

Honored as the Silver Award Recipient in the category of Specialty Contractor - Technical Support, CONAM was nominated by Lyondell-Citgo Refinery. Accepting the award for the company was the Chairman of the Board of MISTRAS Group Inc., Dr. Sotirios J. Vahaviolos. In attendance were many CONAM Houston Regional office employees and their spouses. The CONAM Houston regional office provides a variety of nondestructive testing services for Lyondell-Citgo Refining and the Gulf Coast, including Traditional and Advanced NDT, Rope Access and Engineering services.
