Now offering Waveform Based and Modal
AE, and
AU Testing as an On-Demand Course. Wave propagation factors have the strongest influence on the Acoustic Emission signal. Understanding these factors is the key to reading the waveform to yield information about the source event. Wave propagation factors are also central to AU (acoustoultrasonic) technology.
This method introduces acoustic waves in the low ultrasonic frequency range; to interrogate materials for distributed flaw populations and other characteristics. The recent availability of waveform-based instruments and fast analysis techniques brings a new wave of capability to these branches of acoustical
NDT (nondestructive testing).
Today's instruments have the speed necessary to deliver attractive results, real-time, working with full waveform acquisition in this part of the acoustical frequency spectrum.
This course will teach the necessary theory and the practical skills involved in using these powerful acoustical capabilities.
