Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)

Our QA program services are grounded in two elements: Corrective & Preventative Actions (CAPA), which are essential (and often required) elements of Quality Management Systems across multiple industries.

Our QA engineering experts help our clients implement corrective actions in response to customer complaints, internal non-conformity, and non-compliance identified during internal or external audits.

We also help them implement preventive actions in response to the identification of potential sources of nonconformity.

In order to determine the most effective corrective and preventive actions, we can perform a systematic Root Cause Analysis (RCA), which allows us to offer solutions based on the original problem, rather than the most immediately obvious symptoms.

Quality Control of Newly-Manufactured Products

Though the ideal QA program would prevent all defects from occurring, this realistically is not the case. If “quality assurance’ refers to a process meant to prevent defects, “quality control” refers to detecting defects that inevitably get introduced in the manufacturing process. Compared with the preventative nature of quality assurance, quality control is reactive.

QC is also used to ensure that products meet customer expectations and end-use specifications.
